WHAT:
Discussion and screening of the documentary After the Rain: Putin’s Stolen Children Come Home, focusing on the return and reintegration of Ukrainian children forcibly taken to Russia during the war.
Directed by British filmmaker Sarah McCarthy, who will be present, the 80-minute documentary shares the harrowing stories of Ukrainian children abducted during the war and their eventual return. With nearly 20,000 children still missing, the film sheds light on this tragic aspect of the ongoing war. The screening will be preceded by a discussion on the broader context—covering war crimes, international law, and the ongoing efforts to bring these children home and hold perpetrators accountable.
